Conceived over a few sundowners on safari in Africa in the eighties, Paperbark Camp officially opened in 1999 after years of dreaming and planning by the owners, Jeremy & Irena Hutchings. With the help of their family and a dedicated team of staff, the camp remains a family operated business and continues to be at the forefront of ecotourism and luxury camping in Australia. 

Over the years Paperbark Camp has been the setting for many a memorable occasion, from weddings, 40th birthdays & family celebrations to corporate meetings, product launches and writers retreats. The Venue is known as a romantic escape, so what better place to celebrate your love and commitment than in the private, intimate and unique surrounds of The Gunyah, our treetop dining room. Whether it be a more casual affair for just a few close friends and family, or a real knees-up for 100 of your nearest and dearest, we can create a truly memorable occasion for you, one to treasure for years to come.

On-site we have canoes, bikes and walking trails for when a little down-time is needed, and the local area provides many nature based activities to provide challenges or relaxation, or perhaps a bit of both! All meals are prepared daily by our expert chefs, and we can arrange themed dinners, drinks and didgeridoo around the campfire, even an outdoor cinema amongst the trees.
