Tranquilles is located on 3 acres of landscaped gardens and natural bush on the western entrance to the edge of the fast growing beachside community of Port Sorell. Tranquilles is 15 minutes drive east from the Devonport berthing point of the Spirit of Tasmania.

We are also 10 minutes east of Devonport Airport, or approximately 65 minutes west of Launceston Airport. Just follow the Bass Highway and head towards Devonport, and turn right at the Hartford Church turn-off to Port Sorell.

Tranquilles is a unique 4.5 self -rated Bed and Breakfast accommodation property in Port Sorell, north-west Tasmania. It has 3 well appointed guest rooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. There are 2 very comfortable guest lounges and a large dining room where a fully cooked breakfast is served. The dining room is also used to cater for a range of events and functions for locals and visitors.

It also has a commercial kitchen which has recently been expanded to provide enough space and facilities to run cooking classes. These classes will draw on the experience of a range of chefs who will teach guests and participants how they can prepare great food using the wide range of fresh local Tasmanian produce that is available.

Tranquilles Bed and Breakfast and Cooking School offers a catering and event co-ordination service ranging from catering for corporate cocktail parties, to boardroom luncheons, elaborate sit-down functions and celebrations at private residences. Functions and events can be held at the Tranquilles Bed and Breakfast property, where there is ample on-site parking, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and access to experienced chefs to guarantee a successful and memorable occasion.

We can also cater for functions and events held elsewhere. Food can be prepared and either delivered or picked up prior to the event, as part of our comprehensive service.
